Job Description
About Sinclairs
Sinclairs Hotels & Resorts is one of eastern India's most established hospitality names, operating nine properties across the country's hills, plains and coastline, from Himalayan resorts to a beachfront hotel in the Andamans. We are a listed, debt-free group with a strong cash position, now in an active expansion phase and transforming how we run: our commercial discipline, our people systems and our technology.
The Role
You will own group procurement for Sinclairs: food and beverage, operating supplies, housekeeping and guest amenities, engineering and maintenance materials, and support for capital purchases and new-property fit-outs. The mandate is to move the group from property-by-property buying to a disciplined central function: consolidated spend, contracted rates, standard specifications, clean approvals and a full audit trail, without losing the local responsiveness a hotel needs.
This is a hands-on, commercially sharp role. You negotiate, build the vendor base, set the policy, chase the savings, and travel to properties to solve supply problems in person. Integrity is the non-negotiable.
What You'll Own
- Spend analysis by category, property and vendor; consolidation, standardisation and annual savings targets
- - A qualified vendor base for every major category, including reliable supply lines into remote locations (Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Gangtok, Chalsa, Port Blair)
- - Rate contracts, terms and SLAs; vendor performance management; regular price benchmarking
- - Group purchase policy: approval matrix, quotation and tender thresholds, PO discipline, three-way matching
- - Controls that make leakage difficult; GST, TDS and vendor reconciliation with finance
- - Par levels, ordering cycles and stock-take support with property stores and chefs
- - Capex and project procurement: equipment, FF&E, renovation materials and new-property openings
- - Item and vendor masters, rate contracts and monthly procurement reporting in the group's systems
What We're Looking For
- 5-8 years in procurement, at least 3 in hotels, resorts, restaurant chains or multi-unit hospitality/F&B
- - Deep knowledge of hotel purchasing categories, F&B and perishables above all
- - Proven negotiation record with measurable savings and rate contracts you have put in place
- - Experience writing or running purchase policies and PO-based controls
- - Strong Excel and data skills; working knowledge of GST, TDS and FSSAI requirements
- - Unimpeachable integrity, with references that will say so
- - Willing to travel regularly to the properties, including remote hill and island locations
Where This Goes
First central procurement seat; designed to become Head of Procurement & Supply Chain as the estate grows.
