Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Design Lead Engineer Mid Senior to architect, implement, and lead RTL design activities for advanced ASIC/SoC projects. The role combines hands-on technical ownership with team leadership, driving high-quality silicon delivery across IP and subsystem development.
Education
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or a related engineering field
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement RTL designs for IP blocks and SoC subsystems using Verilog/SystemVerilog
- Translate system and architectural requirements into detailed micro-architecture specifications
- Design and integrate industry-standard interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, USB, HDMI
- Lead RTL quality checks including lint, CDC, synthesis support, and STA collaboration
- Optimize designs for Power, Performance, and Area (PPA)
- Collaborate closely with verification, physical design, and validation teams to ensure design closure
- Support design bring-up, debug, and integration activities during project execution
- Contribute to building and enhancing reusable internal IPs and design methodologies
- Provide technical mentorship and conduct design reviews for junior engineers
- Own and maintain design documentation, including specifications, implementation notes, and review artifacts
- Lead and manage a team of 45 Design Engineers, ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience in RTL design for ASIC/SoC
- Solid understanding of digital design fundamentals and SoC architectures
- Experience working with standard interconnects and high-speed interfaces
- Familiarity with front-end design flows and collaboration across back-end teams
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and design optimization skills
- Ability to balance technical execution with team leadership
