Zoid is a high-tech R&D startup devoted to developing cutting-edge technologies in the Defence and Aerospace sector. We primarily deliver customized solutions to the Indian Armed Forces, leveraging our expertise in AI, Electronics, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, and Robotics. 

Currently funded by the iDEX initiative under the Ministry of Defence, India, we are working on projects of strategic national importance, including: 

• AI-based FOD detection software for Naval Air Stations 

• Reusable Off-board Missile Decoys for Anti-Ship Missile Defense 

Alongside defence projects, the following commercial products and intellectual property  are under making: 

• GNSS Denied Navigation Suite 

• Aerial Intelligent Mapping Suite 

• Vision-based Kinetic Strike Solution 

Our young and passionate team has previously collaborated with industry leaders such as Lockheed Martin, Adani Defence, and Alpha Design to deliver solutions to the IAF and  Indian Army. 

Role Overview -

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Design Intern to join our growing team. In this role, you will design web pages that represent Zoid's brand online and craft product brochures that communicate our cutting-edge defence and commercial technologies to clients and partners. This is a hands-on internship where your output will have real visibility representing a funded defence-tech startup working on projects of national significance.

Key Responsibilities -

1. Website Design

- Design and prototype multiple web pages aligned with Zoid's brand identity (Home, About, Products, Careers, Contact, etc.)

- Create wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity page designs using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Canva

- Ensure designs are responsive, visually modern, and optimized for user experience

- Maintain visual consistency in typography, colour palette, and layout across all pages

- Collaborate with technical team members to ensure designs are feasible for implementation

- Iterate on designs based on feedback from senior management and engineering teams

2. Product Brochure Design

- Design professional brochures for Zoid's defence and commercial products (UAVs, AI software, navigation systems, etc.)

- Translate complex technical specifications into visually compelling, easy-to-understand layouts

- Create both print-ready (CMYK, high-res PDF) and digital-ready (RGB, web-optimized) versions

- Ensure brand consistency colours, fonts, tone across all brochure formats

Work closely with the product and engineering teams to accurately represent technical features

- Design supporting assets such as icons, diagrams, and infographics where needed

Required Skills -

1. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or Canva

2. Strong eye for aesthetics typography, layout, colour, and visual hierarchy

3. Understanding of branding principles and ability to maintain design consistency

4. Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver within deadlines

5. Good communication skills to understand technical briefs and translate them visually

Other Requirement-

1. Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, UI/UX Design, Multimedia Design, or a related field

2. Prior experience designing websites or UI mockups for tech companies or startups

3. A design portfolio showcasing websites, brochures, or product collateral

4. Exposure to technical or B2B product design (aerospace, engineering, defence is a plus)
