The Designer role will support the end-to-end design and development of Mahina's period underwear and intimate wear range. This role involves working closely with Product, Sampling, Sourcing, and Production teams to translate design concepts into functional, comfortable, and high-quality products while adhering to brand, quality, and performance standards.

• Assist in the design and development of period underwear and intimate wear products from concept through production
• Create and update design drawings, prints/graphics, tech packs, and size specifications
• Collaborate closely with the sampling team to develop prototypes, conduct fittings, and execute revisions
• Support fabric, trim, and component selection in coordination with the sourcing team
• Participate in fit sessions and incorporate feedback to improve design, comfort, and functionality
• Ensure all designs meet functional requirements including leak protection, comfort, durability, and hygiene standards
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for styles, samples, approvals, and revisions
• Support new product launches in line with the product roadmap and timelines
• Adhere strictly to brand guidelines, quality standards, and project timelines

• Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field
• 24 years of experience in intimate wear, activewear, lingerie, or apparel design
• Basic understanding of garment construction, pattern concepts, and fit
• Mandatory exposure to sampling and production processes
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
• Ability to create clear and structured design and product presentations for internal reviews and cross-functional discussions
• Experience working with in-house manufacturing units or factories is an added advantage
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in graphic design and AOP (All-Over Print) creation

Preferred Skills:

• Strong knowledge of apparel design with a focus on intimate wear, including construction, elastics & trims, and functional fabrics
• Understanding of sustainable and performance textiles such as cotton, modal, lyocell, and technical knit
• Hands-on experience in graphic design and AOP creation
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment while managing multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail with a solution-oriented, problem-solving mindset
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and adapt quickly
