Design Engineer

BIW Fixture Design Engineer

Experience – 3 to 6 years.

Immediate to 15 days is preferred.

Technical Skills: Hands on Experience in Designing & Detailing of spot welding/MIG welding fixtures (automated and manual)

Tool Skills : - CATIA V5, UG NX

Job Description - Concept Design (Design clamps, pin units stationary as well as retractable, slides and dumps) - Exposure to Welding Lines Process & Layout (Spot Welding, ARC welding) - Performs basic engineering calculations to verify design integrity - Create 2D manufacturing drawings and BOM - Knowledge of tolerances and materials - Read and understand GD&T drawings - Design experience in BIW welding fixtures - Good knowledge of manufacturing and assembly process - Experience in working on various OEM's like GM, VW, BMW, FORD, DAIMLER etc., - Experience in conducting Technical Review with customer - Exposure to multiple CAD tools will be an added advantage - Experience in Teamcenter will be added advantage
