We are seeking a highly motivated Design Engineer to join the Turbine Production Engineering (TPE) team to support legacy product transformation, manufacturing-driven design improvements, standardization initiatives, and digital engineering activities across turbomachinery products.

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Design Engineer to join the Turbine Production Engineering (TPE) team to support legacy product transformation, manufacturing-driven design improvements, standardization initiatives, and digital engineering activities across turbomachinery products.
Key Responsibilities
- Support legacy drawing conversion, model creation, and product definition modernization activities for turbomachinery products.
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation using Creo and Windchill PLM.
- Review legacy designs and identify opportunities for standardization, simplification, manufacturability improvements, and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Service, and Design Engineering teams to resolve design and production challenges.
- Analyze component designs and assemblies to ensure fit, form, function, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Provide recommendations on GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis based on assembly requirements.
- Drive productivity improvements, engineering automation, process simplification, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Independently work with global stakeholders and support technical discussions with US-based engineering and manufacturing teams.
Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 6+ years of experience in Mechanical Design, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields (6 to 8 years overall experience).
- Strong proficiency in Creo Parametric for part, assembly, and drawing creation.
- Hands-on experience with Windchill PLM and engineering release processes.
- Good understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and engineering drawing interpretation.
- Experience performing Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis and resolving assembly-related issues.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, welding, casting, forging, sheet metal, and assembly operations.
- Good understanding of product assembly, disassembly, serviceability, and manufacturing constraints.
- Experience supporting Engineering Change Management processes (ECR/ECN).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently handle customer interactions and technical discussions.
