Job Description

Location- Goa

Experience-3–7 Years

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

3D DESIGN & MODELLING

  • Develop parts, assemblies and sub-assemblies using SolidWorks.
  • Create robust, clean and manufacturing-ready 3D models.
  • Apply design intent, material and manufacturing considerations.
  • Manage large assemblies and maintain model integrity.

SHEET METAL DESIGN

  • Design sheet-metal parts, brackets, panels, enclosures and assemblies using SolidWorks.
  • Apply appropriate bend, flange, relief, thickness and fabrication principles.
  • Generate flat patterns and manufacturing-ready data.
  • Understand basic sheet-metal manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, bending, punching and fabrication.
  • Design for manufacturability, assembly and ease of fabrication.

2D DRAFTING

  • Generate manufacturing-ready 2D engineering drawings from 3D models.
  • Apply dimensions, tolerances, sections, details, surface finish and engineering notes.
  • Basic understanding of GD&T, fits & tolerances and mechanical drafting standards.
  • Ensure drawings are accurate and suitable for manufacturing and inspection.

3D PLM & ENGINEERING DATA

  • Work within a 3D PLM system for engineering data management and product release.
  • Maintain relationships between 3D models, 2D drawings, parts and BOMs.
  • Follow engineering release, revision and configuration-control processes.
  • Ensure correct and traceable engineering data.

ENGINEERING BOM & CHANGE MANAGEMENT

  • Create and maintain accurate Engineering BOMs (EBOM).
  • Manage part numbers, revisions, quantities and product structures.
  • Participate in Engineering Change Requests / Engineering Change Orders.
  • Understand the impact of design changes on drawings, BOMs, manufacturing and suppliers.

DFMEA & DESIGN QUALITY

  • Participate in DFMEA activities and identify potential design risks.
  • Support identification of critical design parameters and controls.
  • Incorporate lessons learned and design improvements into engineering documentation.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Must Have

  • SolidWorks – 3D modelling & assemblies
  • Sheet-metal design & fabrication
  • 2D engineering drafting
  • 3D PLM experience
  • Engineering BOM / EBOM
  • Engineering change management
  • Basic GD&T, fits & tolerances
  • Mechanical design & manufacturing fundamentals
  • DFMEA fundamentals
  • Engineering drawing standards

Preferred

  • FRP / composite material design knowledge
  • FRP manufacturing processes and design considerations
  • Machining and fabrication
  • Large/complex assembly design
