Design Engineer

Simpalm is recruiting a Design Engineer on behalf of one of our direct clients in the United States. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong background in Point-of-Purchase (POP) displays and retail fixture design, who can translate creative concepts into production-ready engineering solutions.

IMPORTANT: This is not a general mechanical design role. Candidates must have direct experience designing POP displays, retail fixtures, or in-store merchandising solutions.

• Convert design concepts, sketches, and client requirements into detailed engineering solutions ready for manufacturing.
• Create complete manufacturing drawing packages, assembly drawings, exploded views, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Design cost-effective and manufacturable POP displays and retail fixtures using plastic, metal, and wood materials.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, production teams, and clients to ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, and budget requirements.
• Support prototype development, testing, and production implementation.
• Conduct design reviews and resolve engineering challenges related to manufacturing, assembly, and installation.
• Participate in factory visits and production inspections as required.
• Ensure engineering documentation complies with company standards and customer specifications.
• Recommend improvements to product performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing POP displays, retail fixtures, store displays, or merchandising systems.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks
• Strong experience creating detailed manufacturing drawings and BOM
