Position Title: PLM Engineer
Department: Product Development
Reports To: Director – Product Development
Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
We are seeking a PLM Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Siemens NX, and Teamcenter to support global product development activities. The role involves 3D/2D modeling, Sheet Metals, drawing, plastic and casting component design, engineering change management, product data maintenance, and collaboration with global engineering teams for connector and cable assembly products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage product data, BOMs, and documentation in Teamcenter.
- Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings using Siemens NX.
- Support Change Requests (CR), ECN/ECR, and product lifecycle management processes.
- Work closely with global design teams to execute design changes and product updates.
- Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and mechanical engineering principles.
- Ensure designs comply with company and industry standards.
- Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and KPI tracking.
- Support continuous improvement and product maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in PLM, Siemens NX, and Teamcenter.
- Good understanding of engineering change management processes.
- Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and mechanical design fundamentals.
- Strong communication skills and experience working with global teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in connector, cable assembly, or wiring harness design.
- Knowledge of IP sealing concepts and product development processes.
