Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop MEP systems including HVAC, electrical layouts, and plumbing systems.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure design accuracy and quality
  • Assist in cost estimation and value engineering of MEP systems.
  • Design HVAC systems with a focus on air quality, humidity control, and thermal comfort (critical for wellness spaces).
  • Plan electrical systems, including lighting (ambient, therapeutic, and mood lighting), power distribution, and backup systems.
  • Design plumbing and water systems, including hot water systems, water treatment, and drainage.
  • Ensure designs meet project specifications, local codes, and safety standards.
  • Integrate systems that enhance indoor air quality (IAQ) and occupant wellbeing.
  • Support implementation of energy-efficient and sustainable solutions (e.g., heat recovery, low-energy lighting, water conservation).
  • Design specialized systems for:
  • Spa pools, steam rooms, saunas, Hydrotherapy setups, Aroma diffusion and ventilation zoning
  • Work closely with architects, interior designers, and consultants to align MEP systems with design intent.
  • Participate in design review meetings and client presentations.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors during execution.
  • Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), technical specifications, and tender documents.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
  • Provide on-site support during installation and commissioning.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure systems are installed as per design.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and system optimization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical / electrical engineering or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in MEP design (freshers with strong knowledge may also apply).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, and plumbing design.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in commercial, residential, or hospitality projects.
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient and sustainable design practices.
  • Familiarity with BOQ preparation and vendor coordination.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits when required.
