Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop MEP systems including HVAC, electrical layouts, and plumbing systems.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure design accuracy and quality
- Assist in cost estimation and value engineering of MEP systems.
- Design HVAC systems with a focus on air quality, humidity control, and thermal comfort (critical for wellness spaces).
- Plan electrical systems, including lighting (ambient, therapeutic, and mood lighting), power distribution, and backup systems.
- Design plumbing and water systems, including hot water systems, water treatment, and drainage.
- Ensure designs meet project specifications, local codes, and safety standards.
- Integrate systems that enhance indoor air quality (IAQ) and occupant wellbeing.
- Support implementation of energy-efficient and sustainable solutions (e.g., heat recovery, low-energy lighting, water conservation).
- Design specialized systems for:
- Spa pools, steam rooms, saunas, Hydrotherapy setups, Aroma diffusion and ventilation zoning
- Work closely with architects, interior designers, and consultants to align MEP systems with design intent.
- Participate in design review meetings and client presentations.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors during execution.
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), technical specifications, and tender documents.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
- Provide on-site support during installation and commissioning.
- Conduct inspections and ensure systems are installed as per design.
- Assist in troubleshooting and system optimization.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical / electrical engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in MEP design (freshers with strong knowledge may also apply).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, and plumbing design.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in commercial, residential, or hospitality projects.
- Knowledge of energy-efficient and sustainable design practices.
- Familiarity with BOQ preparation and vendor coordination.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel for site visits when required.
