Position Summary
Designs components or a system of components to develop or improve existing products while reducing cost, enhancing performance, or facilitating manufacturing operations. Designs products or systems of diverse/difficult scope and complexity for assigned projects
Responsibilities
- Design and optimization of mechanical components for filtration products
- Analysis and specification of products/systems
- Develops manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable standards
- Interfaces with outside vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 4+ years experience
- Autodesk Inventor, Pro-E, CATIA CAD Modelling tools
- Good knowledge of APQP, DFMEA
