We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in automotive mechatronics systems to support the design and development of components related to sensing, control, and cockpit electronic systems. The role involves end-to-end CAD design, detailing, and validation support for components manufactured through casting and plastic injection molding processes, with a strong focus on design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and thermal management.

- Develop parametric 3D models using CAD tools (e.g., CATIA V5 / 3DEXPERIENCE) for plastic and casting components
- Create and manage complex assemblies using structured design methodologies (e.g., skeleton-based modeling)
- Perform detailed part design aligned with DFM and DFA principles
- Generate 2D drawings and 3D annotations (GD&T) suitable for production release
- Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis using industry tools (e.g., 3DCS or equivalent)
- Design and optimize thermal management components such as heat sinks and enclosures
- Ensure CAD data quality through self-checks and adherence to modeling standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, validation, and suppliers
- Manage and maintain design data within PLM systems
- Deliver tasks within defined timelines and effort estimates

- Strong understanding of automotive product development lifecycle
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as injection molding and casting

Experience
- 4–5 years of experience in mechanical design within the automotive domain
- Experience in designing components related to one or more of the following systems is preferred:
- Camera and sensing systems (e.g., vision modules, radar, ultrasonic sensors)
- Electronic control units (ECUs), domain/zonal controllers
- Cockpit and display systems (e.g., instrument clusters, HUDs)
- Hands-on experience in working with plastic and casting components in production environments
