Position Summary
The Design Engineer will be responsible for preparing modification leaflets, drawings, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as CAR-21, CS/FAR-25. The role involves supporting audits, maintaining design documentation, and assisting in training and liaison activities with DGCA and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare modification leaflets in compliance with Certification Specifications-25 and FAR-25.
- Develop and update engineering drawings using CAD tools.
- Maintain accurate records of all modifications and design changes.
- Assist in DGCA/internal audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
- Update and maintain the Design Organization Manual (DOM).
- Ensure compliance with Safety Management System (SMS) and other regulatory requirements.
- Prepare training material for initial and refresher training programs.
- Support training delivery and manage associated documentation.
- Act as Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) when required.
- Coordinate with DGCA and other internal departments for regulatory liaison.
- Perform any other tasks assigned on a case-to-case basis.
Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in civil aviation or defense sector.
- Proficiency in design software such as CAD, CATIA, SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of aircraft systems.
- Candidates with AME background will be given preference.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Suite, MS Word, and Excel.
- In-depth understanding of CAR-21, CS/FAR-25 and their application.
- Preference for candidates currently working in a CAR-21 approved organization.
