About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and leading the full design process from ideation to production. You will draw new designs and update our current designs. During the creation process, you will ensure that our designs meet all necessary design responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and support CAD models and assemblies using CATIA V5.
  • Work on kinematic studies and mechanism-related design activities for seating systems.
  • Support PLM activities, including data management, design release support, and documentation updates.
  • Update and maintain Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) as per project and engineering requirements.
  • Apply GD&T principles while preparing and reviewing engineering drawings.
  • Perform tolerance stack-up analysis using Excel sheets to validate fit, function, and assembly requirements.
  • Support design and development activities related to seat frame and mechanism architecture.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams for design reviews, issue resolution, and project deliverables.
  • Assist in evaluating design feasibility considering materials, manufacturing processes, and safety regulation requirements.

Qualifications

BE Mechanical / Diploma in Mechanical

Required Skills

  • Hands-on working experience in CATIA V5, including part design, assembly design, and kinematics.
  • Working knowledge of PLM systems for design data management and release processes.
  • Ability to update EBOMs and support engineering change-related documentation.
  • Understanding of GD&T and its application in engineering drawings.
  • Experience in tolerance stack-up calculations using Excel sheets.
  • Knowledge of automotive seat frame and mechanism architecture.
  • Awareness of relevant safety regulations applicable to seating systems.
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for sheet metal and tube components.
