About The Role

As a Hardware Engineer at Qualcomm, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing complex electronic systems that support cutting-edge products and solutions. Your responsibilities will encompass planning, verification, testing, and validation of digital, analog, RF, optical, and mixed-signal systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to bring innovative hardware solutions from concept to production, ensuring they meet stringent performance, reliability, and quality standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on highly advanced technologies, influence product development strategies, and contribute to the company's leadership in the industry.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field, with at least 8 years of relevant hardware engineering experience. Candidates with a Master's degree should have at least 7 years of experience, while those holding a PhD should have a minimum of 6 years. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in a related discipline, extensive industry experience exceeding 15 years, and proven expertise in circuit and logic design, validation, and measurement instrumentation. Demonstrated leadership experience, whether through direct reports or technical influence, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage extensive hardware knowledge to plan, optimize, verify, and test complex electronic systems, including circuits, mechanical systems, and optical components, ensuring high yield and performance standards.
  • Develop and establish design rules, processes, and best practices for electronic hardware, integrated circuitry, and manufacturing techniques to support product innovation and reliability.
  • Serve as an expert resource for conducting sophisticated simulations and analyses to optimize power, performance, and area for hardware designs.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, verification, validation, software, and systems engineering, to incorporate new requirements and test solutions, improving overall product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement advanced manufacturing solutions for leading-edge products, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Assess and enhance the reliability of critical materials and properties, bringing innovation and automation to maximize productivity and quality assurance processes.
  • Advise engineering teams on complex hardware design features, identifying potential flaws and recommending improvements to ensure optimal performance and manufacturability.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation for hardware projects, review technical reports, and ensure clarity and accuracy for project stakeholders.
