Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design machining, welding, assembly, and inspection fixtures.
  • Develop 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings for Jigs & fixtures using UG NX/ Unigraphic NX.
  • Create fixture concepts based on customer drawings and manufacturing requirements.
  • Apply fixture design principles such as the 3-2-1 locating principle, clamping, and datum selection.
  • Perform tolerance stack-up and GD&T analysis.
  • Select standard components such as clamps, locators, cylinders, guide bushes, pins, and fasteners.
  • Prepare BOMs and engineering documentation.
  • Conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate with production, CNC machining, fabrication, assembly, and quality teams during manufacturing and trials.
  • Modify designs based on shop-floor feedback and customer requirements.
  • Support fixture installation, testing, and validation before production release

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficient in UG NX
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
