This position involves managing design and development projects, engaging with team leaders and customers, and presenting as well as discussing proposed designs. To gain an in-depth understanding of assembly processes, you will collaborate closely with various Engineering Departments within Atlas Copco group companies and communicate directly with customers at product company locations. You are expected to identify both explicit and implicit requirements for assigned tasks in accordance with project schedules, utilize different CAD packages, and deliver high-quality results within specified timelines. Responsibilities include adhering to design codes, work instructions, and checklists for all assigned tasks, as well as conducting comprehensive CAD checks. The role also presents an opportunity to expand the scope of activities while demonstrating effective teamwork. You will report directly to the Team Leader.
Knowledge and Experience:
. Proficiency in design application skills with demonstrated experience in mechanical design and drafting.
. Experience in designing skid packages for compressors and dryers is highly desirable.
. Familiarity with sheet metal, piping design, and heavy fabrication processes.
. Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor 3D Software, SAP and Enovia PLM.
. Understanding of international standards, including ASME, CE, and API standards, is advantageous. Prior experience with centrifugal compressors is considered a valuable asset.
Education and Experience Requirements: A Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B Tech) degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, along with a minimum of three years of experience in the compressor industry or related fields.
Personality Requirement:
Candidates should demonstrate creativity and the initiative necessary to consistently deliver high-quality results within designated timelines. A strong commitment to teamwork and effective communication skills in English are essential. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and flexible, and willing to travel internationally for project specific assignments.
