Role Description The Design Engineer – CNC Machines will work on-site in Bengaluru in a full-time capacity, collaborating closely with manufacturing and engineering teams. Responsibilities include designing and optimizing components and fixtures for CNC machining, preparing detailed CAD models and drawings, and ensuring manufacturability using 3-axis and 5-axis CNC technology. The role involves reviewing design specifications, validating tolerances, supporting process planning, and resolving design-related issues on the shop floor. The Design Engineer will also assist in improving workflows, enhancing product quality, coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders, and documenting design changes and standards for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Design Engineering and Product Design, with the ability to translate requirements into manufacturable concepts.
  • Solid background in Mechanical Engineering, with knowledge of materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes relevant to CNC machining.
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and Solidworks software for creating detailed part and assembly drawings.
  • Basic understanding of Electrical Engineering principles related to machine systems and automation is beneficial.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working with CNC machines (3-axis and/or 5-axis), including familiarity with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot design and production issues.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
