Our client is an established A1 Main Contractor with a strong portfolio of building, civil and infrastructure projects in Singapore and overseas. Due to continued project growth, they are looking for experienced Civil & Structural Design Engineers to join their project and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Civil & Structural (C&S) design for building and infrastructure projects from design development through construction.
• Design and review reinforced concrete and structural steel structures, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes and design requirements.
• Coordinate C&S design with architectural, M&E, process engineering and QS teams to ensure effective design integration.
• Review structural calculations, drawings, shop drawings, method statements and technical submissions.
• Work closely with consultants, subcontractors and site teams to resolve design and technical issues during construction.
• Support tender preparation, including development and evaluation of C&S tender packages.
• Provide technical support to Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered according to programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Coordinate and follow up on statutory and authority submissions and approvals.
• Participate in site inspections and provide technical solutions for construction-related C&S matters.
• Review construction methodologies and structural details to identify opportunities for design optimisation, constructability and value engineering.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant C&S design experience.
• Experience in building, industrial, infrastructure or large-scale development projects.
• Strong experience in reinforced concrete and structural steel design.
• Experience with precast structures, long-span roof structures, piling, substructure and superstructure works will be advantageous.
• Ability to review structural drawings, shop drawings and design calculations.
• Good understanding of Singapore codes, statutory requirements and C&S authority submissions.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.

• Salary: Up to S$7,500 + Variable Bonus (negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)
