Job Title: Design Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team in the design and development of innovative chassis components. This role involves creating and maintaining 3D CAD models, generating engineering drawings, and ensuring compliance with design requirements and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop chassis components, including wheels, brakes, subframes, engine mounts, fuel system components, suspension systems, and steering systems.
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models using CATIA V5 and CATIA V6/3DEXPERIENCE.
- Generate and update 2D engineering drawings in accordance with drafting standards.
- Create and manage 3D annotated models using CATIA V6/3DEXPERIENCE.
- Ensure compliance with design requirements, packaging constraints, quality standards, and manufacturability considerations.
- Perform basic CAE studies using CATIA embedded solvers, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience in automotive design and development.
- Experience in chassis component design and development.
- Working knowledge of CATIA V6/3DEXPERIENCE.
- Understanding of automotive chassis systems and vehicle packaging.
- Experience in 2D drafting and GD&T principles.
- Basic CAE analysis experience (FEA, vibration, and structural analysis).
- Strong engineering calculation and problem-solving abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 automotive suppliers is preferred.
- Familiarity with automotive design release processes and change management.
Work Environment
This position involves working with advanced CAD software and performing CAE analysis in a dynamic and collaborative team environment. The role requires attention to detail and compliance with high-quality standards in engineering design.
