- Understand customer requirements and translate them into feasible, high-quality design solutions.
- Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using design software (Autodesk and SolidWorks).
- Design machine frames, conveyors, and enclosures utilizing aluminium profile systems and related components.
- Prepare and manage comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) and part lists for production.
- Define design objectives, establish timelines, and ensure deliverables align with project schedules.
- Evaluate design feasibility, identify potential issues, and provide effective, cost-optimized solutions.
- Incorporate design modifications based on client and internal feedback.
- Participate in design and project review meetings, offering technical insights and recommendations.
- Research and evaluate new materials, technologies, and design methodologies to enhance efficiency and innovation.
- Support prototype development and testing to validate design performance and compliance.
- Ensure all designs adhere to engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality guidelines.
- Provide design support to the engineering, manufacturing, and assembly teams throughout project execution.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including project management, production, and procurement.
- Maintain organized project files, design documentation, and revision records.
- Stay abreast of emerging design trends, software advancements, and best practices in mechanical design.
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- 1 to 2 years of professional experience in mechanical design and drafting.
- Proven expertise in Autodesk or SolidWorks (or related design tools).
- Practical experience with design systems or equivalent modular assembly systems.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, fabrication processes, and assembly techniques.
- Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerancing, and industrial design standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to design accuracy and documentation quality.
- Experience in designing for automation systems, material handling equipment, or machine enclosures.
- Knowledge of prototype development and performance validation processes.
- A proactive and innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and design excellence.
