Job Description

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Design Management & Coordination
    • Coordinate civil, structural, geotechnical, architectural, MEP, ITS, ventilation, and fire & life safety design packages.
    • Ensure design outputs align with construction methodology (TBM/NATM/Cut & Cover as applicable).
    • Monitor design progress against project master schedule.
    • Maintain design deliverable tracker and submission logs.
    • Conduct interdisciplinary design review meetings.
  • B. Interface Management
    • Manage interfaces between:
      • Twin tunnels and cross passages
      • Shafts, portals, and surface structures
      • Utilities and existing infrastructure
      • Road works, drainage, and traffic systems
    • Coordinate with external stakeholders, statutory bodies, and utility agencies.
    • Ensure resolution of design clashes and interface conflicts.
  • C. Contractual & Technical Compliance
    • Ensure designs comply with:
      • Contract specifications
      • Employer's Requirements
      • Applicable codes and standards
      • Safety and constructability requirements
    • Support technical submissions, design reports, calculations, and drawings for Engineer/Employer review.
    • Address review comments and ensure timely resubmissions.
  • D. Construction Support
    • Provide technical clarification to site teams.
    • Coordinate issuance of AFC (Approved for Construction) drawings.
    • Assist in resolving site-related design issues and non-conformances.
    • Support value engineering and optimization initiatives.
  • E. Risk & Change Management
    • Identify design-related risks and maintain a Design Risk Register.
    • Assess technical implications of change orders and variations.
    • Participate in technical workshops, HAZID/HAZOP, constructability reviews.
  • F. BIM & Digital Coordination
    • Coordinate BIM models and clash detection activities.
    • Ensure design data consistency across disciplines.
    • Participate in 3D model review sessions.
