Role Overview

The Design Coordinator will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and streamlining all design-related activities across real estate projects. The role requires close collaboration with architects, consultants, and internal project teams to ensure timely delivery, design accuracy, and alignment with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Coordination & Management
. Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, and external agencies.
. Ensure all design drawings are aligned, coordinated, and updated across disciplines.
. Track design progress and ensure adherence to project timelines.

2. Drawing Review & Quality Control
. Review drawings for consistency, completeness, and constructability.
. Identify design gaps, clashes, and discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
. Maintain quality standards across all design deliverables.

3. Inter-Department Coordination
. Work closely with project, planning, and execution teams for design implementation.
. Facilitate communication between site teams and design consultants.
. Ensure design intent is properly executed on-site.

4. Documentation & MIS
. Maintain records of all drawings, revisions, and approvals.
. Track RFIs (Requests for Information) and ensure timely closures.
. Prepare MIS reports for design status and updates.

5. Vendor & Consultant Management
. Liaise with external consultants for timely submission of deliverables.
. Monitor consultant performance and ensure adherence to contractual scope.

6. Compliance & Approvals
. Ensure designs comply with local regulations, codes, and authority requirements.
. Assist in obtaining necessary design approvals from authorities.

Job Expectations:

Key Requirements
. Strong understanding of architectural and engineering drawings
. Experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams
. Knowledge of local building regulations and approval processes

Skills Required
. Excellent coordination and communication skills
. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
. Proficiency in AutoCAD and basic design tools (Revit is an advantage)
. Good organizational and time management skills
. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Profile
. Experience in large-scale township or luxury residential projects
. Exposure to end-to-end project lifecycle
. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Minimum Qualification:

Graduate Engineer / Architect / Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering

Minimum Job Experience:

3-8 years of experience in real estate / township / residential projects
