Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Design Consultant with strong expertise in electrical design, civil design, and drafting for EPC projects related to Solar, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
This role is ideal for retired professionals or former government officials with extensive experience in power projects, utilities, or EPC organizations, who wish to contribute their knowledge on a consulting basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, validate, and guide electrical and civil designs for Solar, Wind, and BESS EPC projects
- Provide expert inputs on layout planning, single-line diagrams (SLD), GA drawings, and BOQs
- Support design optimization, cost efficiency, and technical compliance
- Ensure designs align with government standards, utility norms, and statutory regulations
- Guide drafting teams on technical accuracy and best practices
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and project coordination meetings
- Support approval processes with utilities, DISCOMs, and regulatory authorities
Preferred Qualifications & Background:
- Retired or former government officials from power utilities, electricity boards, PSU EPCs, or regulatory bodies
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 20+ years of experience in power sector projects (Solar / Wind / Substations / Transmission / BESS / EPC)
- Strong knowledge of Indian grid codes, CEA guidelines, DISCOM requirements, and safety standards
- Hands-on exposure to EPC project design & execution
- Experience in design approvals, tendering, and government project coordination
