Role Overview
We are looking for aDesign Associateto support the design team across Ellius and NBYO. This is ajunior, execution-focused roleintended for someone at the start of their career who wants hands-on exposure to apparel design, sampling, and product development.
The role works under the guidance of senior designers and collaborates with internal teams. It doesnotindependently handle sourcing, production decisions, costing, or certifications.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development Support
- Assist senior designers with sketches, mood boards, and seasonal research
- Support development of silhouettes, trims, and detailing under guidance
- Help prepare, update, and maintain tech packs and design documentation
Sampling & Fit Support
- Coordinate sampling requirements with internal teams
- Track sample progress, comments, and revisions
- Support fit sessions and assist in incorporating feedback into designs
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work with sourcing and operations teams to ensure design inputs are clear and complete
- Support smooth handover from design to sampling and production
- Maintain organised records of styles, samples, and revisions
Learning & Process Discipline
- Learn garment construction, fabrics, and fit through active projects
- Support quality checks during sampling under supervision
- Follow internal design processes and documentation standards
What We're Looking For
- Degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a related field
- 01 year of experience (internships count)
- Basic understanding of garment construction and fabrics
- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop (CLO 3D is a plus, not mandatory)
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in a structured, feedback-driven environment
- Bonus points if you have experience with accessories
