Role SummaryA senior specialist role within Axonn focused on elevating the quality, creativity, and efficiency of design output across all client accounts. Unlike a traditional team lead position, this role carries no direct line-management responsibilities. Instead, it is centred on three core pillars:
- Creative excellence - Championing high design standards, ensuring all output is on-brand, visually compelling, and aligned to each client's strategic goals.
- Innovation & tooling - Identifying, testing, and integrating new tools, AI-powered workflows, and production techniques that improve speed, consistency, and creative capability.
- Goal-oriented production - Working closely with the Head of Production and account teams to ensure content is designed with clear performance objectives in mind, supporting measurable outcomes for clients.
The role acts as a creative point of reference across the production department - offering guidance, feedback, and best-practice recommendations - without carrying responsibility for people management, HR, or resourcing.
Key ResponsibilitiesCreative & Design- Deliver high-quality design work across multiple formats (digital, social, presentations, interactive content).
- Set and maintain creative standards across all client work.
- Ensure all output is on-brand, visually compelling, and aligned with client objectives.
- Interpret and apply client brand guidelines consistently across projects.
- Conduct quality checks on design output to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.).
- Provide clear, constructive creative feedback to improve overall output.
- Act as a key point of reference for creative decisions within the production team
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients on creative direction
Strategy & Production Collaboration- Work closely with the Head of Production to align creative output with campaign goals
- Contribute to content strategy and campaign planning
- Bring creative thinking into projects early, before briefs reach production
- Support the development of creative proposals and pitch materials
- Advise on creative feasibility, timelines, and production planning
- Influence creative direction across teams without direct line management
Innovation, AI & Process Improvement- Explore AI tools and emerging design technologies
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, and scalability
- Test and implement new tools that enhance production capabilities
- Develop and document improved creative processes and workflows
- Share knowledge and help upskill the team on new tools and techniques
- Stay up to date with trends in design, AI, and content production
Skills & ExperienceEssential- Proven experience in a creative or digital agency environment
- Strong portfolio showcasing design across multiple formats and industries
- Experience working with Western/global brands and understanding brand standards
- Excellent eye for detail and high standards for design quality
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate creative decisions
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of creative output
- Interest in AI and its application in creative workflows
