AVP/DVP/VP — NBFC Distribution & Partnership Sales

Location: Bangalore | Reports to: Deputy CEO | Type: Full-time

About the Role

DocOnline is looking for an aggressive, street-smart business hunter who has spent the majority of their career opening doors, building relationships, and closing partnerships with NBFCs, MFIs, and Lending FinTechs.

This is not a farming role. This is not an account management role. This is a pure new business hunting role — identifying NBFCs, getting in front of their leadership, pitching DocOnline's embedded health proposition, and converting them into active distribution partners.

If you have built a career selling TO NBFCs — not working inside one — and have a proven track record of onboarding NBFCs as partners, this role is built for you.

What DocOnline Does

DocOnline embeds health insurance and wellness benefits into NBFC and FinTech products. When an NBFC disburses a loan, the customer automatically gets a health cover — bundled into their EMI at minimal incremental cost. You will be the person who convinces NBFCs to integrate this into their product.

What You Will Do

1. NBFC Partner Hunting — Primary Mandate

  • Identify, prioritise, and relentlessly pursue NBFCs, MFIs, and Lending FinTechs as potential distribution partners
  • Build a structured pipeline of NBFC targets — segment by size, loan book, customer base, and partnership potential
  • Cold outreach, warm introductions, LinkedIn, industry events — use every channel to get in the room
  • Engage directly with CXOs, Product Heads, Strategy teams, and Partnership decision-makers at NBFCs
  • Present DocOnline's embedded health proposition with clarity, conviction, and commercial insight

2. Proposal & Pipeline Management

  • Own the opportunity end-to-end from first outreach to qualified handover
  • Draft sharp, customised proposals aligned to each NBFC's business model
  • Track every conversation, follow-up religiously — zero drop-offs, zero delays
  • Maintain a real-time pipeline view — number of NBFCs approached, meetings done, proposals sent, conversions

3. Activation & Handover

  • Drive the NBFC from interest to active evaluation to integration decision
  • Coordinate with internal product, tech, and ops teams for proposal refinement
  • Once the NBFC commits — execute a seamless handover to the Sales team for long-term management
Who We Are Looking ForNon-Negotiable Requirements

You have spent 10+ years in Business Development or Partnerships

A significant portion of your career has been spent acquiring NBFCs, MFIs, or Lending FinTechs as clients or partners — not working inside them

You have personally onboarded NBFCs onto a platform, product, or service — you know what it takes to get an NBFC to say yes

You are a hunter first — your career story is about opening new accounts, not managing existing ones

You have engaged at CXO level inside NBFC organisations — MD, CEO, CFO, Head of Products, Head of Partnerships

You are based in Bangalore or willing to relocate immediately

Ideal Background — You Have Worked At
  • Embedded insurance or health platforms that sold distribution through NBFCs (Zopper, Turtlemint, RenewBuy, InsuranceDekho, Bimaplan)
  • Co-lending or lending tech platforms that onboarded NBFCs (Yubi/CredAvenue, Finbox, Perfios, Karza, IDfy, Signzy)
  • FinTech SaaS companies that sold products TO NBFCs (Cashfree, Razorpay, Pine Labs, Setu, PayNearby)
  • Health or wellness platforms with NBFC distribution partnerships (Medibuddy, Loop Health, Bajaj Finserv Health, Niva Bupa)
  • Insurance companies with NBFC/FinTech alliance teams (HDFC Life, ICICI Prudential, Bajaj Allianz — Strategic Alliances or Digital Distribution teams)
Skills That Will Make You Stand Out
  • Existing NBFC network — you already know the right people inside major NBFCs
  • Experience pitching embedded or bundled products to NBFCs — not standalone sales
  • Strong understanding of how NBFCs evaluate partnerships — their compliance, tech, and commercial lens
  • Sharp proposal writing — you can articulate business value clearly and quickly
  • Pipeline discipline — you track every conversation, never let a lead go cold
  • Understanding of insurance, health benefits, or wellness is a strong plus

Compensation & Level
