Deputy Production Manager

JOB SUMMARY(Brief about the existence of the position)Sound knowledge in steel fabrication / welding techniquesPlate cutting knowledge, bus body fabrication, and structural steel fabrication will be preferred.Responsible for handling the complete shift operations and managing the workmen.Ensure the total loading operations carried out as per plan in a particular shift.Meeting the target of shipment as per the priorities set from time to time by monitoring the activities of checkers and operators.Verifying and confirming the shipper details while vehicles are being loaded in a particular shift.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES(Primary duties)Monitoring the attendance of workmen in the shift and work allotment as per planStrictly follow the priority (Jobs or Part marks) while loadingVerifying the jobs before loadingEnsuring the phase wise closing of the jobs as plannedShould leave the work spot only after reliever takes the chargeEducating the operators and chakkars towards priority itemsADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES(Apart from regular activities )Incumbent should be able to solve queries and effectively deal with internal customersFUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES( Key skills requires)Leading Capabilities.Supervisory skillsUnderstanding the priority requirements at Production.Should be able to meet the targets set from time to timeShould be able to manage the team effectively and get results.Should be able to train & handhold team with the requirements of jobBEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIESShould be a go-getterShould be able to communicate the requirements to the workmenShould be able to convince the workmen of the requirements from time to time
