Job Responsibilities
Overall Hospital Operations & Patient Satisfaction
- Fulfill the Vision, Mission, and Objectives of the hospital to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Take all necessary steps to fulfill the objectives of the organization.
- Study patient response analysis (IPD) and evaluate scope for service improvement.
- Assist the MD/MS in conducting regular ward rounds of patient management areas to ensure quality Patient Care, Housekeeping standards, Dietary Services quality, and other administrative & operational aspects.
- Respond and take prompt actions to customer complaints for speedy and satisfactory resolutions.
- Answer all queries of hospital clientele in the absence of the Medical Superintendent/DMS Medical Superintendent.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Assist the HOD with all administrative/operational jobs related to patient care, NABH standards, teaching, training, and hospital promotion.
Patient Care Quality & Standards
- Achieve complete customer satisfaction by providing total quality management.
- Ensure that NABH Standards for quality, environmental, and occupational safety management for patient care are followed in letter and spirit.
Human Resources Development (HRD) Support
- On behalf of the HOD, plan and prepare prescribed duty rosters for all categories of clinical staff and submit them for the HOD's signature.
Medical Administration
- Assist the Quality Manager in getting the hospital accredited with the Accreditation Council.
- Ensure the hospital website is updated periodically with new information related to facilities and services in association with the online Marketing cell.
- Take regular rounds of the hospital to ensure qualitative services of requisite standards.
- Ensure the safety of patients, staff, land, building, equipment, and materials.
- Undertake any other job for the improvement of hospital personnel.
Quality Assurance
- Assist in educating and training hospital personnel to incorporate and implement NABH Standards.
- Assist/support in the responsibility of processing NABH accreditation.
- Review, update, monitor & audit NABH standards and take corrective and preventive actions as and when required.
- Ensure and supervise that quality systems are being implemented.
Departmental Reporting & Coordination
The following Departments/employees will report to you:
- Discharge Summary
- Patient Care Coordinators
- RMOs
- MRD
- IPD
- Carry out regular rounds of Discharge Summary calls and coordinate between billing, dispatch & discharge summary.
- Become the first responder to all problems faced by patients on the ground floor.
- Ensure preparation of Discharge Summaries in time by monitoring the work of Computer Operators and in consultation with consultants and RMOs.
- Check, correct, and sign routine documents related to patient care which are mandatory for billing, TPA, recovery, and NABH.
Billing
- Check the charge folio of admitted patients.
- Address all queries from panel and cash patients related to their eligibility for credit facility or adjustment of bill amount concerning discounts/non-payment of the full amount.
- Liaise with panel company RMOs, SMOs, and MOs in settling all bills & their queries.
Other Responsibilities
- Train staff and impart team spirit and leadership qualities.
- Make constant efforts for ensuring Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) as an integral part of quality assurance.
- Undertake any other task as assigned by the management and ensure its successful completion.
- Ensure the proper vigilance of incoming patients, attendants, and other personnel.
- Ensure proper resources are available for smooth workflow.
