Role Summary
Planning, executing, monitoring, controlling the installation and commissioning of projects and experience in overseeing and delivering the MEP scope in residential, commercial & hotel projects.
Key Responsibilities
The design engineer will perform the following tasks
- Activity and resource planning - Define the project's scope and determine available resources. Good project managers know how to realistically set time estimates and evaluate the team's capabilities.
- Organizing and motivating the installation and commissioning team - Develop clear, straightforward plans that stimulate their teams to reach their full potential. Leading by example.
- Controlling time management Define, sequence, estimate the duration of an activity. Develop and maintain a schedule
- Cost estimating and developing the budget Keeping the project within its set budget. review the budget and plan to avoid massive budget overruns
- Ensuring customer satisfaction - Maintain effective communication and keep the company's clients up-to-date on the progress of the installation
- Analyzing and managing project risk - Meticulously and almost intuitively, identify and evaluate potential risks before the project begins.
- Monitoring progress - monitor and analyze both expenditures and team performance and to always efficiently take corrective measures.
- Managing reports and necessary documentation - Present comprehensive reports documenting that all project requirements were fulfilled, as well as the projects history, including what was done, who was involved, and what could be done better in the future.
- Offer technical support for onsite customer issues.
- Visit sites periodically to monitor appropriate execution of design and adherence to quality standards and design specifications and initiate corrections for deviations.
Key Skills
- Knowledge of all aspects of Plumbing, Fire Fighting systems, STP and Siphonic Roof Drainage
- Experience in a MEP Design Environment.
- Understanding of architectural and civil drawings of modern buildings.
- Good knowledge of piping material, fixtures selections and plumbing accessories.
- Extensive knowledge of building regulatory guidelines and codes (national & international).
