Job Summary
We are looking for a Dy Manager Production to manage day-to-day operations in our grease manufacturing plant. The role involves executing production plans, maintaining quality and safety standards, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring efficient use of manpower and materials.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules in line with business requirements
- Execute daily production activities as per approved production plan
- Monitor grease manufacturing processes and ensure smooth batch operations
- Achieve production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives (energy, material yield, process losses)
- Improve plant productivity through process optimization and debottlenecking
- Monitor KPIs such as OEE, yield, cycle time, and downtime
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain product quality as per defined specifications
- Coordinate with Quality team for in-process and finished product checks
- Ensure proper documentation and batch records are maintained
- Support internal and external audits
Safety & Workplace Standards
- Follow all safety, health, and environmental (EHS) guidelines
- Ensure use of PPE and safe working practices on shop floor
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses
Inventory & Coordination
- Ensure availability of raw materials and packaging materials
- Monitor material consumption and reduce wastage
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Stores, Planning, and QA teams
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare daily production and shift reports
- Identify opportunities for productivity improvement and cost reduction
- Participate in 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualification/Education
- Diploma / BE / BTech in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
- 5 years of experience in grease / lubricant / chemical manufacturing- Grease manufacturing knowledge will be preferred.
- Exposure to batch process manufacturing is preferred
Required Skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and shop-floor operations
- Basic understanding of quality and safety systems
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work in shifts
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, reporting)
