Role Overview:
The Deputy Manager Product will be responsible for driving customer stickiness by designing intuitive, engaging, and commercially viable digital product features. This role focuses on end-to-end product ownership, balancing customer experience, business impact, and execution excellence across agile and waterfall development models. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, customer-centric digital products and backend platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to launch and optimization
- Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals
- Translate company vision into actionable product initiatives
Customer Experience & UX
- Design in-app features that leverage existing customer behavior and drive new habits
- Ensure intuitive, seamless, and engaging user experience across platforms
- Continuously improve customer journey and lifecycle touchpoints
Product Development & Delivery
- Develop detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and user stories
- Manage agile and waterfall development cycles to ensure timely delivery
- Ensure high-quality product releases with proper UAT and go-live readiness
Commercial & Market Analysis
- Ensure all product features have a strong commercial framework
- Conduct pricing, competitive benchmarking, and profitability analysis
- Identify opportunities to expand product base and market reach
Stakeholder Collaboration & Feedback
- Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and operations teams
- Incorporate feedback from customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Track product adoption, usage, and impact on end users
Qualifications and Experience:
- 46 years of overall professional experience with min 3 years in Product Management roles
- At least 2 years of experience in core technology / digital product role
- Hands-on experience with BRDs, PRDs, product tools, A/B testing, and analytics
- Experience in new-age digital companies (E-commerce, Food-tech, Retail, D2C) is mandatory
- Exposure to high-growth startup environments (110 and 10100 stage) preferred
- Bachelor's degree (BE/BTech or Computer Science) from Tier-1 institutes preferred
- MBA from Tier-1 management institutes is an added advantage
