Deputy Manager - Procurement and Contract Manufacturing

Strong knowledge of procurement of commodities with experience in the coconut value chain, including market dynamics, supplier development, quality assessment, and commercial negotiations.

• Comprehensive understanding of the coconut/copra value chain, from farm-level sourcing to processing, logistics, storage, and end-use applications.
• Should have exposure in managing contract manufacturing & managing contract agreement with manufacturer.
• In-depth knowledge of agricultural commodity markets, including:
• Price drivers and market cycles
• Crop patterns and seasonality
• Demand-supply dynamics
• Commodity risk factors
• Market intelligence and forecasting

• Experience in developing and managing sourcing networks across key copra-producing regions.
• Strong analytical capability to track commodity trends, evaluate procurement strategies, and optimize sourcing costs.
• Exposure to stakeholder management, contract negotiations, inventory planning, and supplier relationship management.

Preferred Background:

Experience in Copra buying, coconut oil, edible oils, FMCG, food processing, or agri-commodity industries.

Ideal Candidate:

A commercially astute procurement professional with 7–10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or commodity trading with in-depth commodity knowledge, strong market connects, and the ability to drive strategic sourcing decisions in a volatile commodity environment.
