Job Description
Key Responsibilities:Electrical Solutions Design & Architecture- Develop and maintain electrical architecture for Integrated DC and DC Infra solutions.
- Design SLDs, cable harness diagrams, electrical BOMs, and integration layouts.
- Define specifications for electrical subcomponents: PDUs, UPS & batteries, busbars. breakers, cabling, earthing components, sensors, DB Panel and LED lighting systems.
- Standardize electrical design across multiple Smart Rack models & DC Infra.
- Engage with clients to understand business and technical requirements.
- Design end-to-end data center electrical infrastructure solutions.
- Prepare technical proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, and compliance documents, develop SLDs, layouts, and conceptual design., perform load estimation, redundancy planning (N+1, 2N)
- Support sales team in client presentations and technical discussions.
- Work with OEMs/vendors for technical inputs and pricing.
- Prepare BOQ, Budgetary commercial offer and project scope documents.
- Participate in bid meetings and solution walkthroughs.
- Provide value engineering options to optimize cost and performance.
- Technical evaluation and compliance to be validated for passive infra equipment for UPS, DG, Solar, Rack, Transformer, HT & LV system, AC, safety & security, videowall & Telecom infrastructure.
- Co-ordination with vendors at site and monitor the smooth execution of project
- Co-ordination with project management during execution of project
- Working with Technical Sales Managers and Sales team & Project team for designing Solution.
- Guiding stakeholders over the technology, processes and applications and updating them on regular project related updates and reports.
- Overseeing installation, operation, maintenance, and, identifying, and resolving issues and generating status updates/reports for the management
- Review of recommendations make, model, Project planning, time scheduling , site plan, Drawing & layout review.
- Technical discussion with OEM & validation of specification, coordinating with suppliers and external OEM / Vendor for solutions with key focus on delivering results in terms of revenue generation and profitability.
- Drive continuous improvement of electrical safety, reliability, and performance.
- Conduct feasibility studies and support prototyping for new electrical enhancements.
Ensure solution design which meets IEC/IS electrical standards, including, IEC 61439 (panel assemblies), IEC 62368 / 60950 (IT equipment safety), LVD 2014/35/EU, EMC 2014/30/EU,
Prepare documentation for CE, UL, BIS certifications as per requirement, Or equivalent Indian standards.
- Analyse field failures and recurring electrical issues across deployments.
- Analyse root-cause analysis (RCA) and define corrective actions with supply chain and manufacturing teams.
- Improve electrical assembly quality through updated SOPs, wiring standards, and QA checklists.
- Validate supplier components (cables, breakers, PDUs, connectors, harness assemblies).
- Support production teams with wiring diagrams, test procedures, and assembly instructions.
- Participate in incoming quality inspections for electrical materials.
- Prepare product-level electrical documentation:
Engineering change notes (ECN)
Bill of materials (BOM)
Electrical integration manuals
Testing standards and acceptance criteria
- Contribute to product datasheets, installation manuals, and application guides
Qualifications
- BE/B. Tech in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering.
- 8-10 years of experience in product engineering, electrical design, or R&D.
- Experience in DC Infra/Smart Rack / Edge DC / UPS / PDU/DB Panel product lines preferred..
