1. Forecasting and Planning:
o Analyze sales figures, customer reactions, and market trends to anticipate product needs.
o Develop and implement merchandise plans, budgets, and strategies that align with the company’s financial goals.
o Forecast sales and stock needs based on historical sales data, market trends, and promotional events.
2. Inventory Management:
o Manage and maintain inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand without overstocking or understocking.
o Monitor inventory flow and make buying recommendations that align with customer demand.
3. Collaboration:
o Work closely with buyers, suppliers, distributors, and analysts to negotiate prices, quantities, and delivery time-scales.
o Coordinate with the marketing department to determine promotional activities and clearance sales.
4. Financial Reporting:
o Incorporate financial reporting and budget requirements into merchandise plans and recommendations.
o Set financial targets and manage open-to-buy budgets to ensure the company’s financial goals are met.
5. Data Analysis:
o Review historical data and forecast trends to determine the volume, allocation, and distribution of merchandise.
o Use systematic methods and tools to monitor stock-to-sale ratios and sales trend data.
Experience : 4 to 8 Years
Education : Minimum qualification – Graduation in fashion Retail Management / Fashion Management Institute.
