Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager – Payroll to lead end-to-end payroll operations, statutory compliance, and employee lifecycle management. The role requires strong expertise in labor laws, payroll processing, and HR operations with high accuracy and compliance orientation.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll & Salary Administration
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing including salary, arrears, incentives, and deductions
- Ensure timely and accurate salary disbursement
- Handle attendance, leave, overtime, and shift data for payroll inputs
- Process Full & Final (F&F) settlements, gratuity, bonus, and ex-gratia payments
- Coordinate with Accounts for payroll posting and statutory payments
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with:
- PF, ESIC, PT, LWF
- Bonus Act, Gratuity Act
- Minimum Wages Act, Factory Act
- Manage filing of monthly & annual returns and challans
- Maintain statutory registers, records, and audit readiness
Personnel Management
- Manage employee lifecycle (onboarding to exit)
- Handle documentation and maintain personal files & HRMIS records
- Issue HR letters:
- Appointment
- Confirmation
- Transfer
- Relieving
- Address employee queries related to salary, deductions, and benefits
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate (B.A. or equivalent)
- 6+ years of experience in Payroll & HR Operations
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws & statutory compliance
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Good communication
