Responsibilities
As the Coal Processing Plant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the plant runs efficiently, safely, and in alignment with Adani's values. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operational Management: Lead the day-to-day operations of the coal processing plant, ensuring continuous and reliable processing of coal to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and motivate the plant operations team including supervisors, engineers, and technicians to achieve operational excellence.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize coal washing, crushing, and sorting processes to enhance yield, reduce waste, and improve cost-efficiency through technological upgrades and process improvements.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements, fostering a culture of safety first. Implement and monitor safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to maintain a zero-incident workplace.
- Quality Control: Maintain high-quality standards for processed coal by coordinating with quality assurance teams. Implement corrective actions promptly when deviations are detected.
- Maintenance Oversight: Oversee routine and preventive maintenance schedules for plant machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
- Cost Management: Manage plant operating budgets, optimize resource utilization, and control expenses without compromising on safety or quality standards.
- Environmental Stewardship: Ensure plant operations comply with environmental regulations and Adani's sustainability goals. Drive initiatives to reduce emissions, manage waste responsibly, and conserve resources.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with procurement, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure seamless supply chain and material flow. Engage with local authorities and community stakeholders in line with corporate social responsibility commitments.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports on plant performance, safety records, production metrics, and improvement initiatives for senior management review.
- Technology Integration: Lead the adoption of advanced technologies such as automation, data analytics, and remote monitoring to improve operational transparency and decision-making.
- Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to upskill employees and promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Emergency Response: Prepare and maintain emergency response plans for potential plant incidents, ensuring the team is trained and ready to act swiftly and effectively.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or diploma in Industrial Management or Business Administration will be an added advantage.
