Job Purpose: This role is responsible to oversee and manage the housekeeping, yard maintenance, and Management Information System (MIS) activities within the Coal Handling Plant, ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and accurate reporting.
Responsibilities
Lead - Housekeeping, Yard Maintenance, and MIS
Coal And Heat Accounting And MIS
Monitor coal quantity data, including received, reclaimed, and stacked coal and calculate the Belt Utilization Factor to generate daily accurate MIS reports for internal stakeholders.
Track and manage the blend of coal with Business Development (BD) to optimize usage.
Conduct physical verification of coal stock to ensure inventory accuracy.
Utilize and manage the Pile age Management Tool for effective pile management.
Monitor belt wear and coordinate with Control & Instrumentation (C&I) for timely calibrations.
Provide budgetary requirements to the section Head.
Housekeeping And Yard Maintenance
Manage housekeeping tasks, including Kronos entry punching and attendance bill certifications for the assigned area.
Manage water washing of conveyor galleries and bunkers to maintain cleanliness and operational efficiency.
Conduct corrosion surveys and manage diesel consumption for the assigned area.
Conduct seating surveys on conveyor galleries and bunkers and oversee bunker management.
Vehicle And Equipment Maintenance (Auto Base)
Manage the maintenance of plant vehicles and Coal Handling Plant (CHP) vehicles, including heavy earth movers, cranes, dumpers, and JCBs.
Manage inventory and spare parts for all vehicles and equipment.
Execute maintenance and operations of the Auto Coal Sampler Unit (ACSU) to ensure quality sampling.
Business Sustainability
Implement and follow AWMS, IMS, ABEM, CHETNA, and DISHA guidelines within the department.
Participate as a member of the Cross-Functional Audit Team and JAGRITI Team, promoting workplace safety and compliance.
Ensure compliance with work order notifications, breakdown data, and maintenance schedules, including Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Analysis (RA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Strive for Zero Force Outage (ZFO) by adhering to preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
Digitization And Automation
Execute comprehensive digitization strategies to optimize operational efficiency.
Implement automation solutions to support overall organizational goals/strategy
Implement process and system improvements, adopting newer technologies and innovative ideas.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
BE/B.tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
Work Experience (Range Of Years)
6+ years of experience in coal handling operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
Preferred Industry
Experience in the power generation or energy sector, specifically with expertise in coal handling and operations management.
