Vegrow is building India's largest tech-driven B2B platform for fruits — enabling seamless demand-supply integration between farmers, wholesalers, and retailers. We are expanding our sourcing footprint across international markets to strengthen our portfolio and ensure year-round fruit availability.
We are looking for an agile, business-oriented sourcing professional to lead international supplier development and manage end-to-end import operations for fruits.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard international suppliers and exporters for key fruit categories.
- Build long-term partnerships with growers, traders, and aggregators across major sourcing geographies.
- Drive negotiations on pricing, terms, and quality standards to ensure competitive and reliable supply.
- Track global fruit market trends, seasonal availability, and freight movements to support sourcing decisions.
- Collaborate closely with Vegrow's demand, category, and supply planning teams to align sourcing with business goals.
Documentation & Operations
- Oversee all import-related documentation, including contracts, invoices, shipping papers, and compliance certifications.
- Liaise with logistics partners and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination for shipments, clearances, and quality checks.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs norms, and phytosanitary requirements.
- Maintain an up-to-date supplier database and track performance metrics (cost, quality, delivery).
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience in international sourcing, procurement, or trading, preferably in fruits, fresh produce, or perishables.
- Strong exposure to international markets and supplier development.
- Solid understanding of import documentation, compliance, and logistics.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify new opportunities and build networks from scratch.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally for supplier visits and trade fairs.
