  • Master Data Governance & Design
  • Lead functional design for:
    • Vendor Master Data (Procure-to-Pay)
    • Customer Master Data (Order-to-Cash)
    • SAP S/4HANA Business Partner (BP) configuration
  • Define global data standards, naming conventions, and field governance
  • Design and maintain:
    • Account groups
    • Number ranges
    • Partner functions
    • Payment terms
    • Withholding tax setup
    • Reconciliation account mapping
  • Define mandatory vs optional fields based on country statutory requirements
  • SAP S/4HANA Configuration & Integration
  • Configure and validate:
    • BP roles (FI Vendor, FI Customer, SD Customer, etc.)
    • Company code and sales area views
    • Credit management integration (FSCM)
    • Tax classification mapping
  • Ensure integration with:
    • FI (AR/AP)
    • MM (Procurement)
    • SD (Sales & Distribution)
    • Treasury
    • BlackLine (if applicable)
  • Support data migration strategy (LSMW / Migration Cockpit / MDG)
  • Compliance & Controls (SOX Environment)
  • Define and document internal controls for:
    • Master data creation
    • Change management
    • Block/unblock procedures
    • Vendor bank detail changes
  • Ensure segregation of duties (SoD) compliance
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Maintain audit trail and approval workflows
  • Data Quality & Governance Framework
  • Develop data quality KPIs:
    • Duplicate detection
    • Incomplete master records
    • Bank validation
    • Tax ID validation
  • Drive periodic master data cleansing exercises
  • Establish vendor/customer lifecycle governance:
    • Onboarding
    • Modification
    • Blocking
    • Archiving
  • Regulatory & Tax Alignment (Pharma Context)
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • GST, VAT, Sales Tax, Withholding Tax
    • Export / SEZ / DTA structures
    • US 1099 reporting (if applicable)
    • Global intercompany customer setup
  • Align with Transfer Pricing and related-party disclosures
  • Project & Transformation Role (SAP S/4HANA Implementation)
  • Participate in:
    • Blueprint workshops
    • Functional design documents (FDD)
    • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
    • Cutover & Go-Live
  • Lead master data migration mock cycles
  • Provide training to business users and data stewards
Qualifications

  • CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / B.Com with strong SAP background
  • 8–12+ years of experience in:
    • SAP FI/SD/MM master data
    • Business Partner (BP) in S/4HANA
    • Master Data Governance (MDG preferred)
  • Experience in pharmaceutical / regulated industry preferred
    • Strong knowledge of: AR/AP processes, Credit management, Global tax, structures, Intercompany setup
