Position Summary: The role is to drive central demand and supply planning process for Consumables who will be responsible for E2E cycle of Demand and Supply Planning of Consumables, including E & O, Inventory, DOS, and SIOP which will ultimately bring excellent customer allegiance.

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:

Demand Planning:

  • MTO - MTS Determination
  • Monthly and quarterly rolling forecast
  • Define ROP levels to ensure proper balance between demand and supply
  • Arrange consensus with commercial teams
  • Measure and report forecast accuracy, propose, and implement solutions to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Successfully communicate final forecast and inventory estimations to other stakeholders.
  • Leading execution calls for consumables.

Drive SIOP

  • Generate data for SIOP
  • Consolidate the data and deep analysis to prepare the final data
  • Responsible for monthly revenue blocker updation to support the revenue numbers
  • Analysis on Key gaps in revenue at category and SKU level mitigation plan
  • Co-ordinate with stakeholders like commercial, finance, product management, warehouse, etc.
  • Conduct full blown SIOP including - NPI (Phase-in / phase-out), Demand review, supply review, operations review, finance review and executive review.
  • Present final SIOP deck to management for critical decisions
  • Direct the action item of SIOP meeting with respective key member and take the follow ups as per the timeline
  • Follow up Closure of Action item from respective key member
  • To have a close review of forecast to control on generation of new E&O

Supply Planning:

  • Define ROP levels across network and monitor them per stocking norms.
  • Generation of daily MRP through SAP considering forecast for the month or review ROP levels.
  • Placement of orders, follow-up for materials, track delivery.
  • Ensure there are no controllable stock out of materials.
  • Inventory investment / planning MTO inventory through decision paper only
  • Prepare and present shippable backlog on quarterly basis
  • Review the entire network inventory from demand and supply hygiene point of view drive the route cause analysis and subsequent corrective action
  • Share the visibility to customer service team on weekly basis
  • Engage with cross functional teams like Exim, Warehouse, transportation etc to ensure ATP

Data Analytics and Process Improvements

  • Bring Data science experience to analyze various datasets and to come up with the observations
  • Responsible to support line manager for business analytics from demand and supply point of view
  • Use various techniques to automate the reports and analysis
  • Responsible to support line manager for business analytics for ongoing projects directly related to planning and procurement function
  • Responsible to support line manager for preparing presentation as per the business requirement
  • Identify the process improvement scope in every aspect of business to bring efficiency within the system

Inventory Management

  • Drive the Inventory Planning as per the AOP
  • Continue to Monitor the SKU/Location level DOS performance
  • Engage with commercial for Slow Moving and Non-Moving stock
  • Excess inventory re-shuffling within existing network.
  • Inventory, DOS and E&O to remain on plan
