Deputy Manager - Software IT Design (Digital Control Automation)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Assistant Manager - Software IT Design to support the design, development, and implementation of software and IT solutions for digital control automation systems in industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics environments.
The role involves software architecture support, industrial IT integration, database and application development, system connectivity, and coordination with automation, controls, and engineering teams. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of industrial software systems, IT infrastructure, system integration, and digital automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Software & IT System Design
- Support the design and development of software solutions for digital control automation systems including:
- SCADA applications
- MES/MOM systems
- WMS/WCS platforms
- Industrial dashboards and reporting systems
- Data acquisition and monitoring applications
- Industrial IoT solutions
- Automation interfaces and middleware
- Develop system architecture, software workflows, and integration logic.
- Prepare software design documents, functional specifications, interface documents, and technical reports.
- Support UI/UX design for operational and monitoring applications.
System Integration & Digital Automation
- Coordinate integration between:
- PLC/SCADA systems
- ERP/MES/WMS systems
- Databases and cloud platforms
- Industrial communication networks
- Third-party applications and APIs
- Support industrial communication protocols and connectivity solutions including:
- OPC UA
- MQTT
- REST APIs
- Modbus TCP/IP
- Assist in implementing real-time data acquisition and industrial analytics solutions.
Software Development & Support
- Support development, testing, debugging, and deployment of software applications.
- Coordinate software configuration, version control, and release management activities.
- Assist troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of software and integration issues.
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and cybersecurity compliance.
- Support database management and reporting system development.
Project Coordination & Execution
- Coordinate with automation, controls, electrical, and IT teams during project execution.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and task tracking.
- Participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), SAT (Site Acceptance Test), commissioning, and go-live activities.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed within timelines and quality standards.
Technical Leadership & Improvement
- Mentor junior software engineers and developers.
- Support standardization of software development practices and documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and digital transformation projects.
- Evaluate emerging technologies related to Industry 4.0 and industrial digitalization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics, Automation Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5-8 years of experience in software development, industrial IT systems, or digital automation solutions.
- Experience in industrial automation or manufacturing environments is preferred.

Working Conditions
- Office and project-site based work environment.
- Occasional travel to customer or industrial sites may be required.
- May require support during commissioning and system go-live activities.
