Position: Deputy Legal Manager

Experience Required:35 years(University/College Legal Officer or Practising Lawyer)

Role Overview

We are looking for a bright and capable legal professional who can support and manage day-to-day legal, compliance, and documentation work of the University. The role requires sound legal understanding, clarity in communication, and the ability to work in coordination with senior management and external legal counsel.

Educational Qualification

• LL.M. (Desirable)
• Enrolment with State Bar Council (for practising lawyers)

Experience

• 35 years of relevant experience as
• Legal Officer / Deputy Legal Manager in a University or College
• Practising Advocate with experience in institutional, civil, or regulatory matters
• Exposure to higher education regulations, contracts, notices, or litigation support will be an advantage

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong proficiency in English (legal drafting, correspondence, and interpretation)
• Good working knowledge of laws related to education, contracts, labour, and compliance
• Ability to draft, review, and assist in vetting agreements, legal notices, replies, and internal documents
• Comfortable with computers, digital documentation, email communication, and basic legal software/tools
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling confidential information responsibly
