Position Summary
Lead and support the industrial strategy and operational excellence for a cluster of plants, ensuring alignment with Global Supply Chain Transformation (GSC-T), Line of Business (LoB), and GSC India management. Drive long-term industrial plans, productivity improvements, localization, and manufacturing transfer projects while managing cross-functional teams.
Education
- BE / MSc in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Production Engineering
Experience
- 8 to 10+ years in relevant industrial or manufacturing roles
- Strong project management experience; PMP certification is a plus
- Proven experience managing cross-functional teams in complex projects
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic industrial inputs aligned with GSC-T, LoB, and GSC India
- Develop and drive Long Term Industrial Plans (LTIP) for cluster plants
- Lead localization, manufacturing transfers, regionalization, and rebalancing programs
- Drive non-purchasing productivity initiatives (localization, transfers, QVE, subcontracting)
- Collaborate to improve industrial performance through project management and productivity projects
- Manage cross-functional industrial project teams for new developments, feasibility studies, and regionalization
- Oversee manufacturing readiness, pilot reviews, and handover to plant management
- Ensure product quality, cost control, industrial planning, and capex management from concept to mass production
- Build industrial scenarios aligned with SE industrial strategy; evaluate costs, ROI, risks
- Define manufacturing processes and technology for fabrication and assembly
- Optimize supply chain processes and supplier selection (internal and external)
- Lead industrialization efforts coordinating tools, electronics, assembly, quality, and purchasing functions
- Drive strategic projects, conduct feasibility studies, and execute upon management approval
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure product manufacturability and cost optimization
Skills & Competencies
- Strong project management skills, experience in managing diverse teams
- Good knowledge of industrialization fields: assembly, tooling, manufacturing processes, quality management, value analysis, lean manufacturing
- Familiarity with mass production processes and Jigs & Fixtures
- Understanding of purchasing and finance functions
- Experience with quality management systems; Six Sigma knowledge is a plus
- Ability to foresee risks and escalate issues proactively
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Diplomatic, tactful, and able to influence cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated, dynamic, and results-oriented leader
- Able to work under pressure and handle high workloads
- Adaptable to changing project scopes and requirements
- International or multi-company exposure is advantageous
