Job Description
Position: Manager DGM-Pediatric Cancer Research Institute (PCRI)
Organization: CanKids KidsCan
Reporting To: CPOM
Salary Range: 6 LPA 9 LPA
Role Overview
The role is responsible for planning, managing, and executing pediatric oncology research projects at PCRI. This includes leading research design, data collection and analysis, monitoring & evaluation (M&E), dissemination of findings, and strengthening evidence-based decision-making across CanKids KidsCan.
Key Responsibilities
1. Research & Project Management
Design and implement research studies, including proposal writing, study protocols, tools, staff training, data collection, and quality assurance.
Manage end-to-end execution of multiple research projects to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
Oversee data analysis and generate actionable, evidence-based insights.
2. Monitoring, Evaluation & Data Systems
Develop and strengthen M&E frameworks and Management Information Systems (MIS).
Ensure efficient data collection, analysis, and data use for program improvement and decision-making.
3. Department & Team Management
Manage PCRI budgets, projects, and team members; ensure recruitment, training, and capacity building.
Build departmental capability to manage multiple concurrent research projects.
Train and orient new team members in research methodology.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
Engage with PCRI Advisory Committee, leadership, and Board members to align research with organizational priorities.
Coordinate with internal departments for integrated research and knowledge sharing.
5. Grants, Publications & Dissemination
Develop and submit grant proposals to secure research funding.
Present and publish research findings through conferences, presentations, and peer-reviewed journals.
Support abstract submissions and research publications at national and international forums.
6. Additional Responsibilities
Support Pan-India research activities and participate in regional/national scientific meetings.
Perform other duties related to project implementation as assigned.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong research methodology and statistical knowledge.
Proficiency in analytical tools (SPSS, Minitab, Excel).
Program and project management skills (Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, CPM, Gantt Charts).
Excellent analytical, documentation, and manuscript writing skills.
