ABOUT THE ROLE
Designation - Deputy General Manager - Operations
What You'll Do -
Operations Leadership
Own end-to-end operational performance and project execution.
Drive alignment with revenue, quality, and client satisfaction metrics.
Build scalable systems to support multi-project growth.
Project Delivery & Execution
Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of interior fit-out projects.
Conduct weekly execution reviews to identify and resolve roadblocks.
Track progress against milestones and client expectations.
P&L & Financial Management
Manage city-level P&L, budgeting, and cost optimization.
Improve margins through vendor negotiations and operational efficiencies.
Forecast project cash flows and monitor working capital cycles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Liaise with sales, design, procurement, HR, and finance to align workflows.
Drive execution readiness and resource planning.
Resolve cross-departmental blockers in real time.
Operational Excellence & Process Innovation
Implement lean, tech-enabled operations processes.
Reduce TAT through SOPs, automation, and performance analytics.
Leverage platforms like Salesforce for visibility and accountability.
Team Development & Leadership
Build and mentor a high-performing operations team.
Define KRAs, review performance, and lead upskilling initiatives.
Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary point of contact for key clients and vendors.
Conduct regular reviews with clients, architects, and contractors.
Ensure seamless communication and client delight throughout the project.
Risk, Quality & Compliance
Implement QA/QC checks, HSE standards, and compliance processes.
Anticipate risks and drive mitigation strategies.
Ensure contracts, documentation, and reporting are accurate.
Billing, Payments & Documentation
Monitor billing accuracy and ensure timely realization of payments.
Maintain documentation for client handovers, audits, and MIS.
Reduce revenue leakage through robust controls.
You Bring
1015 years of experience in interior fit-outs, project management, or operations in design & build/real estate.
Proven success managing multi-crore projects with direct P&L ownership.
Strong leadership and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
Solid understanding of supply chain, vendor management, and quality control.
Excellent communication, client management, and conflict resolution skills.
Tier-1 institute alumni (IIT/IIM) preferred.
Strong working knowledge of finance and P&L is an advantage.
