Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic legal professional to join our Legal & Business Affairs team as Deputy General Manager.

In this role, you will support the company's commercial operations, manage legal disputes, and contribute to a range of global projects. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions, gaining exposure to diverse business models and legal frameworks.

What you'll do:

  • Independently draft, negotiate and review a wide range of documents including agreements related to content acquisition & exploitation, merchandising, brand associations, technology related documents, merger & acquisition, joint venture and other company related business.
  • Be the liaison on all litigation matters.
  • Draft, review and finalize notices, plaints, suits etc, and brief external counsels and attend court hearings.
  • Independently co-ordinate with team members and Head of Departments of the company while having a solution- oriented approach.
  • Independently deal with complex issues, conduct comprehensive research, provide legal opinions on queries, be updated with latest amendments in law and have a quick turnaround time.
  • Update and maintain internal company processes and systems in a timely manner.

Who you are:

Qualifications

  • LLB / LLM from a recognized university in India
  • Additional certifications or exposure in corporate law, IP law, media & entertainment law, or technology law will be an advantage

Required Experience

  • 1015 years of post-qualification experience in reputed law firms handling commercial, corporate, IP, or M&A matters.

  • Demonstrated experience in:
  • Independent contract negotiation and deal closure
  • Litigation management and counsel coordination
  • Advising senior leadership on legal and commercial risks

  • Experience in media, entertainment, digital, technology, or consumer-facing industries is strongly preferred.

  • Sound understanding of corporate law, contract law, IP laws, and dispute resolution
