The role would be leading and scaling up the Business finance function reporting to Head Finance

Core

  • Preparation of risk register for each Business Case, identifying and detailing key risks operational, commercial, financial, technical, contractual risks and its mitigation to safeguard the business case and highlight to management key levers for the business case in partnership with functional verticals.
  • Driving the pricing through competition benchmark and methodologies by creating the right comparisons. Highlighting the USP for the deals and our stickiness.
  • Business Case to include all non-financial and financial KPI's used to formulate the resources requirement, SLA deliverables and our readiness.
  • Driving business and product teams for right products and enablement through business case intelligence.
  • Devising revenue recognition framework for Business cases to maximize the revenue.
  • Ensuring costs charged to the Business case are accurate, similar cost benchmarks are visible for actual deals currently being delivered. Cost benchmarking is done with actual business cases as well as industry.
  • Driving Supply Chain (SCM) through cost intelligence and benchmarks
  • Ensuring contracts have all the relevant clauses to safeguard organization interests, benchmarking it with current contracts (in close partnership with legal and function teams)
  • Adherence to internal approval compliance, designing and implementing systems and processes

Strategic

  • Provide thought leadership for teams in developing financial strategic plans alignment with Organization and business goals.
  • Revenue recognition & governance (including client interactions for deal closures and contracting; forecasting, revenue recognition)
  • Margin Governance (including cost take out initiatives, systemic and sustainable cost reduction analysis)
  • Manage financial goals that result in strong customer satisfaction, align with company strategy, and optimize costs and supplier relations.
  • Influence senior leaders in setting direction for their functional areas by linking finance and business strategies to optimize business results.
  • Develop strategic relationships with business partners and influence decisions.
  • RCA (Root Cause Analysis) quickly using data, then drives insights for the business to enable effective decisions and create new mechanisms as needed.

Operational

  • Ability to meet business objectives in complex and fast-moving environment contributing to profitability and growth of the organization
  • Managing all the pricing and proposal activities for deals across regions
  • Reviewing customer and vendor contracts to ensure that the commercial ask is built into the respective Business Case
  • Reviewing and getting reviewed the customer and vendor contracts before final execution alongside legal team.
  • Working on gross margin analysis for specific customer opportunities through the construction of deal Profit and Loss statements where appropriate
  • Provide on-going financial analysis on historical bid trends, competitive price positioning, margin results and price erosion.
  • Lead commercial reviews and discussions with internal stakeholders (sales, technical, Procurement, legal, tax, treasury, management), customers and suppliers
  • Conduct risk assessment ensure open risks are quantified & owners identified to help management to take an informed decision on the Business case & Pricing
  • Working out different revenue models basis the real time market acceptability, competition, and customer requirements.
  • Establish processes and workflows for commercials for improved performance, agility, accountability, governance, and support to business.
  • Help sales qualify the potential opportunities basis techno-commercial viability.
  • Renewal and Retention of existing customer accounts by price and contract revisions, up sell and cross sell of new products catering to customer requirements and thereby enabling effective churn management

Essential Qualifications

10-15 years experienced CA / ICWA - Finance preferably in Telecom / IT industry

Additional Qualifications

Expert in SAP, MS Excel, Word and Power points
