Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Manager / Deputy General Manager - EMCS Projectsto lead and deliver end-to-end Electrical Monitoring & Control System (EMCS), Substation Automation (SAS), E-SCADA, and CRP projects. The role involves managing multiple small, medium, and large-scale power and substation automation projects, ensuring on-time delivery, seamless stakeholder coordination, high customer satisfaction, and adherence to budget and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Leadership, Engineering & Execution
  • Lead overall planning, engineering, execution, monitoring of EMCS/SAS/E-SCADA/CRP projects and handover to commissioning team.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with clear tracking of timelines, milestones, deliverables, and risks.
  • Prepare and manage engineering documentsincluding System Architecture, Design Specifications, IO Lists, Bill of Materials, General Arrangement drawings, calculations, and FAT/SAT reports.
  • Ensure alignment between customer requirements, tender specifications, and internal engineering outputs.
  • Maintain strict control of project budgets, cost deviations, and overall profitability.
  1. Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary customer interface for all technical and project-related matters.
  • Obtain timely approvals , via CMG, for design documents, drawings, FAT/SAT plans, and change requests.
  • Resolve customer queries promptly to avoid delays and ensure smooth execution.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal teams (LV/MV Design, Product management , Contracts, Supply chain, Quality, Service) and external stakeholders (EPCs, vendors, end customers).
  1. Technical Oversight
  • Possess strong working knowledge of PLC/RTU/HMI/SCADA platforms and substation communication protocols such as IEC 61850, IEC 101/103/104, Modbus TCP/IP, DNP3, OPC, and MQTT.
  • Review system logic schemes (load shedding, load sharing, OLTC control, protection interlocks) and configuration details.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with network architecture, cybersecurity principles (IEC 62443/62351), IED parameterization, and diagnostic tools (IED Scout, Wireshark).
  • Experience with platforms such as Zenon, Schneider Electric M580, T500/Saitel, and EcoStruxure SCADA Operation is an added advantage.
  1. Team Collaboration & Reporting
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely design, supply, testing, and customer inspection.
  • Provide project and technical leadership, and mentor junior engineers as required.
  • Prepare regular project progress reports, dashboards, and risk assessments.
  1. Compliance, Quality & Safety
  • Ensure project execution complies with internal processes, quality standards, and customer specifications.
  • Oversee adherence to safety norms during site and commissioning activities.
  • Support audits, documentation, and certification requirements.
  1. Travel
  • Availability for 10-20% travel for customer meetings, FAT, site coordination, and commissioning support.
