Exposure to major markets globally other than India and SAARC would be an addedadvantage.
EducationalQualification: Engineering graduate with additional qualification in Law/ Management having exposure to telecom/product regulation, Nodal operations, reportingcompliances, development monitoring, Regulatory analysis, research, anddocumentation is preferred.

These are new emerging technologiesand involve a lot of regulatory intervention as well as demand right kind ofpolicy advocacy from point of view of licensing, spectrum, security, privacy,risk mitigation, ethics, etc.
The NationalNodal Officer in telecom sector plays a pivotal role as the designatedinterface between Telecom Licensed Service provider and various governmentauthorities and law enforcement agencies. The Nodal Officer is responsible forcoordinating national activities related to security audits, technicalinspections, regulatory compliance, cyber security incidents, reporting and oftenliaising directly with the Government (regulatory/ statutory bodies) and LEAs.
Keyresponsibilities include responding promptly to government and authorisedagency requests for network information, ensuring timely and authorised sharingof subscriber, equipment, and security data, and supporting lawful interceptionand monitoring processes as per regulatory directives. Additionally, the National Nodal Officer acts as the telecom providers official representativeon cybersecurity matters, facilitating inputs and compliance documentation viathe governments designated portals and playing a critical role in enabling thesectors alignment with Indias evolving digital infrastructure standards andsecurity mandates.
We are seekinga dynamic and regulatory specialist to join our team as National Nodal Officerwho will work closely with legal, technical, and customer management teams tosupport regulatory and technical compliance across the business. This roledemands a candidate with both strategic thinking and hands-on experience in nodaloperations who will serve as the primary liaison between the telecomoperator and government/regulatory authorities to ensure compliance withtelecom laws, security directives and act as an escalation point for urgentregulatory/security incidents provide guidance for rapid response andproactive risk mitigation.
Thecandidate should also be well versed with the regulatory and nodal developmentsin other global markets as well.
Skills &Competencies Required:
Demonstrated experience liaising withgovernment and enforcement agencies.
Strong understanding of Indian telecom regulatoryframework, security compliances and network security requirements. Exposure
to global markets in addition to India & Other SAARC nations will be an addedadvantage.
Discipline, integrity and diligence areprerequisite for this role.
Capable to handle the regulatory and nodalactivities strictly within specified SLAs from regulatory complianceperspective. Should be able to supportthe nodal requirements on 24X7 basis.
Proven ability to interpret legal andregulatory requirements and apply them to business scenarios and companyposition on various policy issues.
Proven track record to lead CFT driven specialprojects on compliance implementation
Excellent analytical, drafting, documentation,and stakeholder coordination skills
Familiarity with various regulatory bodies andtheir procedures - India, SAARC and Other major Global markets
Proactive mindset, attention to detail, andability to balance long-term strategy with day-to-day execution
Excellent articulation and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks at a timeefficiently, especially in stresful situations.
Crisis Management handling experience
Knowledge about the Nodal operations andreporting of key markets globally US, Europe, Asia Pacific etc.
